# Captain Giggle and the Crocodile Who Needed a Friend

**Current approved version: 10 minutes, 10 scenes, one continuous episode.** Lead: Leo, the existing DLL Studio Spinosaurus. Captain Giggle is his role, not a separate human character. Full animation is pending; the illustrated browser preview is a planning aid.

## 1. Title and thumbnail

Captain Giggle and the Crocodile Who Needed a Friend. Thumbnail: Leo offers Snapper a correctly oriented invitation beside their shared cake. Warm expressions, Leo’s established suit and sail, no frightening pose or sensational claim.

## 2. Synopsis

A missing invitation brings a lonely crocodile to Bubbleville’s festival. Leo and his friends listen, untangle a cake-sized misunderstanding, and help Snapper repair his mistake. Clues, a cupcake gadget and a windy surprise lead to teamwork and a welcoming parade. The town apologizes for judging Snapper, and he returns the cake. An original friendship song closes the adventure.

## 3. Character bible

### Leo

Existing DLL Studio orange Spinosaurus superhero. Long orange snout, teal eyes, cream jaw, spectacular blue sail with orange ribs, blue armored suit with orange trim, silver wrist guards, lightning chest emblem, tool belt and clawed feet. Use public/characters/leo.png as the authoritative identity reference. Captain Giggle is his adventure role; never replace him with a human.

Voice: Warm mid-range voice, buoyant and sincere; let terrible jokes land in a small silence.

Performance: Brave, optimistic, clumsy and kind. Laughter is an invitation, never mind control; he listens before joking about a sad feeling.

### Zip

Small russet squirrel; cream muzzle, single large curled tail; orange goggles with clear lenses and brown tool belt. Always four limbs, two ears, one tail.

Voice: Quick, crisp and logical, but slow down for instructions.

Performance: Inventive, energetic; owns mistakes. Gadgets work through visibly impossible cartoon mechanisms, not reproducible construction instructions.

### Luna

Young human inventor; medium-brown skin, dark wavy bob; purple jacket, teal backpack, glowing star-shaped badge, teal trousers and white shoes.

Voice: Calm, clear, curious. A short pause before observations.

Performance: Observant and creative. Her soft holograms guide and illuminate; never point beams into eyes.

### Boomer

Oversized rounded robot dog; cream shell, teal ear panels and paws, blue oval eyes on a charcoal face screen, yellow chest light. Four short legs; no sharp hardware.

Voice: Friendly rounded voice with occasional gentle electronic chirps; dialogue always understandable.

Performance: Loyal and snack-distracted. Protective bubbles are obvious fantasy and remain near ground level.

### Snapper

Giant mint-green cartoon crocodile; pale lime belly, broad rounded muzzle, large gentle amber eyes, small rounded white teeth, four short legs, one broad flexible tail; oversized bright yellow floppy hat with teal band.

Voice: Soft low voice; hesitant at first, warmer later. Never a roar.

Performance: Lonely and misunderstood. Wants connection, apologizes for taking the cake and helps repair the harm. Kindness does not excuse taking things.

## 4. Full ten-scene script

Sixty seconds per scene. Response windows are included; normal narrative beats require actual character animation comparable to the supplied ZIP. Pauses may occur during interaction. They must not turn the rest of the episode into a slideshow.

### 1. A cupcake landing — 00:00–01:00

**00:00–00:10:** Wide: a cupcake cart rolls slowly along a level painted parade track. Leo jogs beside it; empty foam cushions fill a shallow display pit.

> **Narrator:** In Bubbleville, even a cupcake can have a busy morning!

**00:10–00:20:** Leo plants himself on an impossible squashy spring tile. It bends like jelly, then softly flips him sideways, below head height.

> **Leo:** Stop, little cakes! I am excellent at stopping. Mostly.

**00:20–00:30:** He lands in the cushion display, parade ribbon spread safely behind him. Cupcakes bounce into Boomer’s open tray. Hold his embarrassed blink.

> **Leo:** Why did the cupcake stop? It ran out of sprinkles!

**00:30–00:40:** Boomer stops the cart with a giant projected bubble. He sniffs one cupcake, then notices Luna watching and closes the tray.

> **Boomer:** Delivery complete. Snack investigation… postponed.

**00:40–00:50:** The crew joins Leo beside the stopped cart as festival bunting unfolds overhead. Introduce them through their work.

> **Narrator:** Leo, Zip, Luna and Boomer are preparing Bubbleville’s Friendship Festival. One invitation is still in the basket.

**00:50–01:00:** Camera tilts down to three huge, rounded footprints pressed into soft festival confetti. A yellow hat tip appears behind a distant roof.

> **Narrator:** But who left these enormous footprints?

### 2. The uninvited guest — 01:00–02:00

**01:00–01:10:** Snapper peeks around the gate in his oversized yellow hat. He attempts a tiny wave; his huge hand makes it comically obvious.

> **Snapper:** Hello? Is there a little space for someone rather big?

**01:10–01:20:** His hat brushes balloon-shaped foam decorations off a low stand. They wobble onto cushions; no popping or loose strings.

> **Townsperson:** An evil crocodile!

> **Luna:** We do not know that. Let us look and listen.

**01:20–01:30:** Adults guide the crowd calmly to a broad viewing space. Zip secures a wobbling cardboard arch from the ground.

> **Leo:** Give him room, everyone. We can ask what happened.

**01:30–01:40:** Snapper tries replacing the foam decorations; each is too small for his fingers. He sighs and drops his shoulders.

> **Snapper:** I only wanted to help. My hands are not small-party size.

**01:40–01:50:** Insert: the envelope reads SNAPPER, POND COTTAGE. It was caught under the invitation basket’s lining.

> **Luna:** Your invitation stayed in our basket. We missed it. I am sorry.

Overlay: SNAPPER • POND COTTAGE

**01:50–02:00:** Leo steps forward at a respectful distance. Snapper clutches his drawing of the festival.

> **Narrator:** Snapper was missed by mistake. How could Leo begin a friendly conversation?

### 3. A friendly first step — 02:00–03:00

**02:00–02:10:** Frame the three cards large. Narrator explains before the answer timer starts. Keep Snapper visible and relaxed.

> **Narrator:** What should Leo do? Ask what is wrong, hide in the cart, or try a silly dance?

**02:10–02:20:** Preview the three cards for two seconds, then hold the choice image steady for eight full response seconds. No dialogue or urgency sounds.

Overlay: A Ask • B Hide • C Dance

**02:20–02:30:** Branch A: Leo asks from a respectful distance. B: he peeks from the stationary cart and promptly steps out. C: he offers a tiny dance, then stops to listen.

> **Leo:** However we start, I would like to hear how you feel.

**02:30–02:40:** All branches meet on the same two-shot; props are back in neutral positions. Snapper holds up his handmade drawing of a party.

> **Snapper:** I saw everybody coming. But nobody asked me.

**02:40–02:50:** Leo offers the recovered invitation upside down, corrects it, and apologizes. Snapper notices the envelope-shaped cake topper.

> **Leo:** I am sorry we missed you. Here is your invitation, right way up! That cake is for everybody.

**02:50–03:00:** Snapper compares the tiny paper invitation and giant envelope topper. His hat rotates as he thinks.

> **Snapper:** A giant invitation! That one must be mine.

### 4. The cake and the clues — 03:00–04:00

**03:00–03:10:** Snapper lifts the entire sturdy cake tray, keeping it level. He begins a comically slow waddling trot on a closed, flat path.

> **Snapper:** I will keep my invitation safe!

> **Luna:** That cake is for everybody. Please stop!

**03:10–03:20:** Heroes follow on foot at a walk-jog. No traffic, roads, heights or jumping. Leo goes around foam cones in an unnecessarily fancy pattern.

> **Leo:** Good news! My feet remembered where forward is.

**03:20–03:30:** Show a locked wide puzzle image: star on orange flag at upper left, star on blue crate center, star on green sign lower right.

> **Narrator:** Can you spot all three stars before the timer ends? Point, say, or choose them on the screen.

**03:30–03:40:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: FIND ALL 3 STARS

**03:40–03:50:** Outline the three stars in order on the orange flag, blue crate and green sign. Keep every answer visible.

> **Luna:** One on the orange flag, two on the blue crate, three on the green sign. They point toward the pond.

**03:50–04:00:** Zip tests his cardboard cake catcher off the path. It harmlessly launches three weightless practice cupcakes; Luna opens her route map.

> **Zip:** My cake catcher has become a cupcake launcher! Boomer, could you catch those?

### 5. Three routes, three bubbles — 04:00–05:00

**04:00–04:10:** Large hologram shows three ground-level routes. Wiggly bridge is a flat flexible mat; tunnel is wide and open; slide is a short magical seated conveyor.

> **Narrator:** Which path should the heroes take? The wiggly bridge, singing statues, or rainbow slide?

**04:10–04:20:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: A WIGGLY BRIDGE • B SINGING STATUES • C RAINBOW SLIDE

**04:20–04:30:** A: flat bridge mat ripples and Leo’s parade ribbon waves. B: statues sing “Please wipe your feet,” Boomer answers with a beep. C: seated heroes glide slowly through rainbow light.

> **Leo:** Every path has its own sort of wiggle!

**04:30–04:40:** All routes meet beside the pond. Boomer catches three cupcakes in separate bubbles. Frame only those three bubbles.

> **Narrator:** The paths meet at the pond. How many cupcake bubbles can you see? Choose one, two, or three.

**04:40–04:50:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: HOW MANY CUPCAKE BUBBLES?

**04:50–05:00:** Count all three bubbles, then Boomer briefly catches himself in a fourth empty bubble at paw height. He lands gently.

> **Boomer:** Three cupcake bubbles! And one surprised dog. Returning to floor settings. Someone sounds sad nearby.

### 6. Listen to Snapper — 05:00–06:00

**05:00–05:10:** Wide establishes a decorative fence between the group and the pond. Snapper sits on dry grass, cake untouched on its tray.

> **Leo:** May we sit nearby?

> **Snapper:** Yes. I would like that.

**05:10–05:20:** Close on his hands resting beside, not gripping, the cake tray. Nobody laughs at his sadness.

> **Snapper:** I thought taking the cake would make everyone notice me. Now I feel worse.

**05:20–05:30:** Show three simple feeling cards with words and gentle icons. Narrator refers to Snapper’s own account.

> **Narrator:** Snapper told us he wanted a friend. How do you think he felt: lonely, excited, or sleepy?

**05:30–05:40:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: A LONELY • B EXCITED • C SLEEPY

**05:40–05:50:** Snapper names his feeling. Luna acknowledges it and points toward the shared cake tray; Leo offers to carry one side.

> **Luna:** Snapper felt lonely. Feelings matter, and choices matter too. Let us return the cake and make things right.

**05:50–06:00:** Snapper apologizes and lifts the cake carefully. A playful gust carries lightweight festival flowers across the sky.

> **Snapper:** I am sorry I took the cake. I will bring it back. Oh! The decorations are flying away!

### 7. The teamwork rescue — 06:00–07:00

**06:00–06:10:** Return the cake under a canopy. Show the wind lifting paper flowers, then frame the three tools in a clear collection area.

> **Narrator:** Which tool should we try first: Boomer’s bubbles, Zip’s balloon machine, or Snapper’s gentle tail fan?

**06:10–06:20:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: A BUBBLES • B BALLOON MACHINE • C TAIL FAN

**06:20–06:30:** Selected attempt plays first: bubble catches one flower and squeaks; cradle tilts into a smile shape; tail breeze puts one flower on Leo’s head.

> **Leo:** A promising start. Also, a lovely new hairstyle.

**06:30–06:40:** Snapper fans from a marked empty zone, directing flowers into Boomer’s bubbles. Zip’s impossible floating cradle guides them into a basket.

> **Luna:** A little breeze, a gentle catch, and a safe landing. Together!

**06:40–06:50:** Luna maps a wide parade route while Snapper offers his large basket. Leo gives him the sign after asking.

> **Luna:** Let us have an Everyone Is Invited parade. You can join, watch, or rest. Snapper, will you help?

**06:50–07:00:** A flowing preparation montage: Snapper carries flowers, Boomer delivers invitations, Zip repairs the cake, Luna lights signs, Leo dances.

> **Leo:** Together, we can make room for everyone. My feet are making room for a very silly dance!

### 8. The balloon roadblock — 07:00–08:00

**07:00–07:10:** Show three large balloon-shaped transparent display pockets: coral circle, blue oval, yellow star. A drawn key is visible inside the blue pocket; it is a symbol, not a loose object.

> **Narrator:** Which balloon has the hidden key? Look at the red circle, blue oval, and yellow star.

**07:10–07:20:** Preview the three cards for two seconds, then hold the choice image steady for eight full response seconds. No dialogue or urgency sounds.

Overlay: WHICH BALLOON HAS THE KEY?

**07:20–07:30:** Outline blue oval and zoom into the key drawing. Luna explains the picture points to a matching control on the rack.

> **Luna:** The blue oval has the key symbol. It matches this release button.

Overlay: BLUE OVAL • KEY SYMBOL

**07:30–07:40:** Zip presses the large rack button; hinged sections unfold slowly into flower shapes. No popping, sharp tools or actual locks.

> **Zip:** Not a breaking problem. An unfolding problem!

**07:40–07:50:** Snapper gently rolls the separated lightweight racks onto the marked lawn while Boomer guards the clear walkway.

> **Snapper:** Balloons saved. Path open. May I lead the next part?

**07:50–08:00:** Leo offers Snapper the parade sign. The balloons now form a decorative arch around a broad, unobstructed entrance.

> **Leo:** Lead the way, festival helper.

### 9. Welcome, friend — 08:00–09:00

**08:00–08:10:** Snapper enters slowly carrying the parade sign, hat upright. Townspeople smile and clap; nobody surrounds or touches him without invitation.

> **Narrator:** Bubbleville has a new festival helper. And a very large yellow hat.

**08:10–08:20:** The townsperson from Scene 3 steps forward. The apology is specific and addressed to Snapper.

> **Townsperson:** I called you evil before I knew you. That was unfair. I am sorry.

**08:20–08:30:** Snapper nods, then looks toward the shared cake table. He speaks without a joke interrupting the apology.

> **Snapper:** I am sorry I took the cake. It belongs to everyone. I helped bring it back.

**08:30–08:40:** Luna thanks him for repairing the mistake. An adult serves cake at the table; there is no reward conditional on forgiving immediately.

> **Luna:** Thank you for making it right. We can keep learning together.

**08:40–08:50:** Boomer politely receives his own pretend robot snack. Everyone settles into a comfortable seated or standing place for the song.

> **Narrator:** Friendship schedule: ongoing! For our song, clap softly twice and wave, imagine the movements, or just listen.

**08:50–09:00:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: CLAP TWICE • WAVE • OR JUST LISTEN

### 10. Everyone belongs — 09:00–10:00

**09:00–09:10:** Leo and Snapper begin the original song; the group softly waves. Display lyrics in two readable lines.

> **All (sung):** There is room beside me, there is room for you. / Ask a little question. Try a kinder view.

Overlay: THERE IS ROOM BESIDE ME / THERE IS ROOM FOR YOU

**09:10–09:20:** The group sings the chorus, then leaves a full ten-second instrumental window for a reply.

> **All (sung):** Clap, clap, wave hello. / Kindness is a seed we grow. / Side by side, we sing our song. / Everyone belongs!

Overlay: EVERYONE BELONGS!

**09:20–09:30:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: SAY OR SING: EVERYONE BELONGS!

**09:30–09:40:** The music resolves. Leo’s parade ribbon gets gently pinned beneath Snapper’s cushion; a fantastical low bounce lands Leo on foam props.

> **Leo:** Ask before judging. Listen and help. And check where your parade ribbon is before sitting down!

**09:40–09:50:** Snapper frees the ribbon and offers help. Leo accepts with a smile. Three next-adventure pictures appear beside one farewell title.

> **Narrator:** What adventure should Leo and his friends have next? Choose, imagine your own, or tell a grown-up watching with you.

**09:50–10:00:** Hold the clearly framed interaction image steady for ten seconds. No speech over the response time.

Overlay: WHAT ADVENTURE SHOULD COME NEXT?

## 11. Interactive companion

HTML, CSS and JavaScript live in public/adventures/captain-giggle. The data-driven 600-second preview includes branching choices, two object games, counting, feelings, movement, sing-along and a final question. No login, purchase, messaging or tracking. Existing art and simple motion are planning visuals only, not the required final animation.

## 12. Server-side API pseudocode

See server-pseudocode.md. Credentials remain server-side. A motion test must establish articulated acting and identity before production spending. Do not deploy credentials or a public generation endpoint.

## 13. JSON schema

See scene-schema.json and scenes.json: ten scenes, sixty timed ten-second beats and a 600-second master. Some scenes have a second response window in additionalPause.

## 14. Quality-control checklist

- Leo appears in every scene and production segment.
- Actual character performance, expressions, prop interaction and coherent camera staging; no still-image bobbing presented as animation.
- Check every shot against Leo’s approved design and the ZIP motion reference.
- Time recorded dialogue, score and captions against the ten-minute edit.
- Review every interaction/default and all three continuous segment joins.
- Export and inspect the complete MP4 with audio before labeling it finished.
- Keep deployment paused until the requested video correction is ready.

The previous 20-minute script is archived, not the active production plan. No new paid rendering is authorized merely by approving this shorter story scope.
